I am a blessed cookie.

I love doing BB's makeup! We always have the best chats, and we have a lot of fun together. Plus, since she's so busy, it's our only true girl talk/catch up time. But, if I have to meet her early in the morning, and she's in a very "boo" mood, that part isn't fun!

Honestly, I have to say that my favorite part about working at Central 214 is the staff that I get to work with. I don't know what it is, but even the ones I don't really care for, they are all still fun people to work with. It's also the kind of place that is cool, and glamorous to say that you work at-- and that never hurts.

I thought the bad review was very undeserved. The reviewer seemed more hell bent on attacking Blythe's "naughty" shtick, than she was on simply critiquing her food, which is what I thought her job was to begin with. The reviewer also gave a lot of back handed compliments like loving the halibut, but hating the presentation. Not to mention, this particular reviewer hates all Dallas restaurants, or so it seemed through all of her reviews. She just didn't get the "naughty", and that sucks for her.

All of my personal experiences with Emily have been lovely. She was always willing to help me whenever I was in the weeds (I think she secretly desired to be a cocktail waitress just like me). She was always a sweetheart, and a joy to work with. I mean, let's face it, she's just a 21 year-old-girl. She hasn't quite figured out who she is yet, and she's just a fetus. Of course Emily is going to make mistakes, and of course she's going to screw up. Who didn't at that age? I sure did, and I'm turning out extraordinary. At the end of the day, she's a good little egg, and that's what really matters

My closest friends at Central 214 are Megan (the only person I knew prior to the job, and the main reason I went to work there), Sam (he is the equivalent to finding a shiny toy in the bottom of a delicious happy meal -- a true gem. I love him.), and Casey the bartender (my BFF that always tells me exactly how it is, and never sugar coats anything). Also, Jessica, the other cocktail waitress (one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and a youngin with an old soul), Kerri (another one that is always very honest with me, but always there for me as well), Emily, another cocktail waitress and one of the first friends I met in Dallas (also a true, true gem), and of course Blythe. BB has enriched my life even more than it already was, both in and out of the kitchen. I am a blessed cookie to have such amazing friends.

The only good that came out of it was that we all came together as a team to salvage what we could. Well that and lots of vodka therapy.

I very seriously doubt that anyone is jealous of me because I'm Blythe's favorite.
claire
When I saw Blythe successfully rolling sushi, I thought what a great idea!

If Emily’s not paying attention and gives away a reserved table, there’s really no one to blame but Emily.
emily
Emily's blog is coming soon.
eric
I wasn’t nervous about running the restaurant at all when Blythe was gone.
kerri
Blythe and I have a new crush daily.
megan
Perhaps if she and Curtis weren't playing games at the host stand, she wouldn't have messed up!
