Blythe
I felt amazing after the grill off with Cory.
Oct 20 2009

That night with the bosses in for dinner was HORRIBLE!!! I can safely say that was one of if not the worst night of my culinary career. In this business you always have nightmares about worse case scenarios….uhh this one happened. It was awful and every time we thought it couldn’t get worse it did. It was stressful, upsetting, scary, and intense. The only good that came out of it was that we all came together as a team to salvage what we could. Well that and lots of vodka therapy at Vickery Park!!! I am not sure I am completely over it. I mean these are the big dogs and I fell flat on my face in front of them. It is a tough thing to get over!!!

It was just a set of very very bad circumstances. It doesn’t matter. I am the Executive Chef and the kitchen went down. It is MY FAULT!!! That is the way it goes. If I get the glory when things go well then I must take the hit when things go badly.

Show Title for Web Page Title:
The Naughty Kitchen with Chef Blythe Beck

calvin
I very seriously doubt that anyone is jealous of me because I'm Blythe's favorite.
claire
When I saw Blythe successfully rolling sushi, I thought what a great idea!
curtis
If Emily’s not paying attention and gives away a reserved table, there’s really no one to blame but Emily.
emily
Emily's blog is coming soon.
eric
I wasn’t nervous about running the restaurant at all when Blythe was gone.
kerri
Blythe and I have a new crush daily.
megan
Perhaps if she and Curtis weren't playing games at the host stand, she wouldn't have messed up!
robyn
Blythe has enriched my life even more than it already was, both in and out of the kitchen.
sam
Sam's blog is coming soon.

Watched all the shows. Not impressed with Blythe as a chef. Simply disorganized and she seems to believe all her press clippings. As for a reality show - only interesting character on the show was Emily, which they fired. Probably for good reason; but rest of the show / restaurant / blythe - dirty food premise - was Lame. Good - Riddance. Betcha Oxygen thinks twice before taking another idiotic premise like this. Blyte, this was your 30 seconds of fame.

Girl!!! I've just found your show with my on demand feature (I'm an incurable insomniac) by accident (naughty me ...had to see what “naughty kitchen” was all about) What a pleasant surprise and I got to tell you I am hooked!!! Already a huge fan I am telling others of your naughtiness as well. Where have u been? So shocked that I wasn't aware of your existence (grew up in the food biz) please accept my apologies. For the life of me girl u need to hit the big-time and I do believe you are definitely on your way...please stick to your guns and don't ever compromise. That’s one of the things that add to your charm. OMG!!! The food that u cook and its presentation are off the chain. Your interpretation of food is fantastic producing "sex on a plate" at every turn... Hunny, I always thought Paula Dean had the most indulgence in her food w her southern flair but you have her beat hands down!!! Your combination of naughtiness and bawdiness should skyrocket you to Queen of Cuisine. In addition to your culinary skills your personality, confidence, and self esteem are so contagious. I personally think watching your show should be mandatory for those who need to learn the importance of these characteristics in one's life. (...aaaa...like everybody??) Especially for those w issues ....everyone needs a little naughty in their life (life according to naughty....makes u think...huh?) In addition to watching a Master at work in the kitchen each show has given me a boost in that area. I feel so much better about myself after viewing your episodes you are inspiration with your description of Naughty and that message must be spread across the masses. I have already told my best girl pearl (BFF) that when I'm situated (unemployed n jus gettn by for now) that I'm treating her to a trip to Dallas (or wherever you are at the time) to experience your "Naughty Necessities". (She has been diagnosed w cancer and lost a lot of weight) If something you cook can’t fatten her up then nobody can!! I've already described your shows to her and she's salivating. She got even hungrier when I read the description of items served on the 214 website. That's not an easy thing for her either considering she's basically lost her appetite!!! Here's hoping that all your dreams come true in your quest for domination. For the world will be a better place. Not only in the kitchen but everywhere.

Hey CKingRN-the problem is Blythe tries to make the "naughty" in her cooking sound like something sexual. Perhaps she should concentrate more on her sloppy appearance and trying to tame that disgusting rasp in her voice, than on trying to make things sound sexual. Too egotistical and gross for my taste.

WoW Jodi! What a dumbass you are!!! She's called the naughty chef BECAUSE she cooks with butter, grease, and all those other yummy things! Also, if you have issues with her being overweight then you can kiss the rest of our fat asses. Maybe you should ask Santa for some common sense for Christmas!!

Not only do we watch the show, but we went to Central 214 on a recent visit to Dallas. We found Blythe to be down to earth and genuine. She brought our dessert to the table and chatted with us for several minutes. She is a spunky young woman and we admire that. She is a talented chef who isn't afraid to speak up.And the food......we would go back to Dallas just to eat her food. INCREDIBLE !!

Wow, Sharon, a little harsh I'd say, but stupid is what I really mean. Just what we need on TV another Sexy, Beautiful "Naughty" women, grab your remote and do a switcharoo to "The Girls Next Door", or "America's Next Top Model" or... "Naughty" refers to the fattening, but ever so delectible and delicious cooking the Godess of the Kitchen, whips up! Blythe is BEAUTIFUL in a real way. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this lady, keeping it real and hope there is another season!

I love the show but I will have to admit that I was very disappointed when Emily was fired and it has caused me to not watch as much as I used to. She was a major part of the show and I thought both of the "door *****s" were hilarious. Get Emily back and stop treating her like crap and you will have a great show once again!

I can't get enough of the show. I love Blythe entire persona, and how real she is. I would love to know what is going on in Dallas as far as the broadcast of the show. The last several weeks I set me DVR so I wouldn't miss an episode, and it is pre-empted by some movie. I was grateful I found the episodes on On-Demand although I am still behind one episode. I will have to wait for it to be on On-Demand. So, do anyone know what is up with the Dallas Broadcast.

I really don't understand how this woman landed a show. I'm sorry, but she looks and sounds like trailer trash. She doesn't appear to care what she looks like-dirty messy hair, clothes WAY too small, shirt hiked up over her large pants (both front and back), carrying a purse with her picture on it, PLEASE!! And her voice! She sounds like she has had several years of smoking and drinking under her ample belt. And I have yet to figure out where they get the "naughty" from. With a title like that, I expect a beautiful, sexy woman. Not this trailer trash. I am not coming back to this show for more unwarranted narcissism. GROSS!!!

Blythe- You are hilarious. I know the whole ordeal of cooking for the bosses was awful for you, but it made me laugh through the whole bit. As the star of the show, don't you have say over who is featured on the show with your name on it? Get rid of Emily! She was fired and every time the producers do a segment on her it A)Doesn't move the story forward and B)further demonstrates how irrelevant she is to the show.

Hey good for you Blythe. You're doing what you like. I don't like your show tho- I think it's easy to impress people if you use tons of fat and salt. It tastes yummy. Show me someone who can make tasty lower fat (not non-fat) and lower sodium food. That is a show I want to see. Good luck with your show, plenty of folks seem to like it. I know the kitchen is a tough place for a woman.

I love this show and Blythe and don't miss an ep but.... why don't you ever cook? It's not nice to poke at Monkey when you aren't helping to cook and he's working his arse off! Also who orders the food? It seems you guys have functions and are always freaking out because there is no food!! I have a suggestion Blythe - last nite I noticed that overall you don't look totally fat but what does look bad is your tummy roll sticking out from your jacket. If that jacket could have say six more inches you'd look way better or black pants maybe? The pants you wore to the cheese tasting would look cool with your chef jacket. Sorry if I offended because I really do love this show.

I just started watching the show and I find it disturbing. I think you are a wonderful chef, but it is not sexy being so over weight. Your niece is already obese. How can you let a child be that way. Stop the fat. Cook well eat well. You are a great person, but a heart attact waiting to happen. Start taking care of yourself. It seems that there is a lack of clear management. It is great to take responsibilty, but make things better. This show is a hot mess.

this is the most disgusting show on TV. seriously, it is so offensive as a chef to see this obnoxious 'cook' bellowing about naughty and naughty and more naughty. the excessive use of the word is juvenile. cooking poorly with excessive butter, bacon and cream does not a chef make. i'm for flavor... but slapping on excesses just for the mere giggle of using the word is inane. the food is ugly... the dishes are so uninspired and pedestrian and blythe has a ****y attitude. the worst was when she completely and utterly lost control of her kitchen during a 50 person party. This hack lets her sous chef make the dish... and then has the nerve to chastise him for it afterward. never once did this sloppy chef step on the line to control and expedite things in order to have the kitchen run smoothly. she whined and complained. verbally, yes, she sucked up to her boss and said its her fault... but PLEASE blythe... that was for the cameras and to keep your job... you really need to stop this narcissistic goal of culinary world domination bullsh*t.. and try to learn how to create interesting dishes without relying on only fat. the real chefs of the world famous or not, dont put fame ahead of quality..... you do. the idea that you are a role model for fat women.. speaks volumes about how f***ed up womens self image is. i dont care if you are a size 2 or a size 20.... but, you are no role model. your attitude and arrogance is nothing to look up to.. when you can learn to create creatively and adjust your smokers voice voice to speak TO people and not AT them... i will say that you would be ready to be a chef. until then... please get off the television and learn your craft

Wow Blythe, I am proud of you for taking the "heat" for the performance that was less than stellar with the big bosses. So many times leaders blame their staff instead of taking full responsibility. I am sure that your staff appreciates your honesty and candor and will have more respect you than before. Congratulations and don't worry. I am sure the "big bosses" want to see how well you recover and move forward. Best to you, Calidiva :-)
